Hyaluron Pen

The Hyaluron Pen is a carefully calibrated device used to apply HA gels. This device has been around for decades. The device is commonly used to insert insulin for diabetics. In 2018, the hyaluron pen made its way into the beauty industry, as a method of inserting HA into the face and lips.

Pressure technology allows insertion of HA without the use of needles. The hyaluron pen allows a thin stream of HA to enter the epidermis via ampoule. The ampoule has a narrow opening of 0.13mm. This is 3x smaller than the smallest insulin needle.

Hyaluronic acid (HA), also known as HA dermal gel, is a sugar naturally found in our skin. HA holds water in our skin to maintain a hydrated plump appearance. With age, the amount of HA in our bodies starts to decrease. Hyaluronic acid is injected into the lips without the use of a needle. This is the best option for those uncomfortable with needles. 2 or more sessions are recommended to reach desired look and may last 6-8 months. 

HA applied via hyaluron pen is not intended to be a replacement for needle fillers. It is an alternative for those seeking a non-invasive option. Because there are no needles involved, discomfort is nearly non-existent. Recovery consists of little to no bruising and swelling for 2-3 days. 

Like needle injections, the hyaluron pen inserts HA superficially. This means that if the area treated is not maintained, it will fully revert to its natural state.
